Heidelberg Toastmasters Rhetorikclub
The Heidelberg Toastmasters Rhetorikclub meets every second and fourth Monday of the month at 7:15 pm. After the meet-and-greet and tackling technical issues, if necessary, we start with our actual program at 7:30 pm.
Because of the pandemic situation there were no in-person meetings during the last months. We met on the online platform Zoom instead. Starting in March 2022 we will continue meeting personally in Heidelberg-Süd, “Treff am Turm”, Franz-Kruckenberg-Straße 54. We ask all participants to take a lateral flow test. If you have no chance to get tested beforehand there is also a possibility at the “Treff am Turm”.
Our meetings are conducted according to a well-structured program. It is made up of prepared speeches (between 5 and 7 minutes, generally) as well as various off-the-cuff performances. The second part is then dedicated to personal feedback.
All roles in the meeting, such as presenting, evaluation and organizational functions are taken up in turns by the members.
We meet again personally at the “Treff am Turm”.
Address: Heidelberg-Süd, Franz-Kruckenberg-Straße 54
If the pandemic situation changes drastically to the worse we will switch to online meetings on Zoom and inform you here on this webpage.
The Heidelberg Toastmasters Rhetorikclub is not a German registered association, but part of a worldwide nonprofit organization: Toastmasters international. The local clubs, such as our Rhetorikclub, organize their meetings, contests and other events themselves and oversee only their own members. Members of a club are also welcome in all other Toastmasters Clubs across the globe.
Every club member has access to the Toastmasters educational program, both online and in print. In addition to this there are many more resources available on the Toastmasters International website, such as educational videos (largely in English).
The membership fee for our Heidelberg Toastmasters Rhetorikclub is 96 Euros per year, plus a one-time entrance fee of 20 Euros. Students, apprentices and job seekers pay a reduced anual fee of 84 Euros plus entrance fee.
